Founded in 2014 by environmental evangelist Matt Hill, OneTreePlanted actively works with reforestation NGOs and governments in North America, South America, Asia and Africa to get trees in the ground.  In Canada, trees are currently being planted in Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia and New Brunswick.  Seto Financial’s partnership involves planting trees in Ontario: with the objectives of enhancing Southern Ontario’s deciduous forests and the Hudson's Bay Northern Lowlands.

 

OneTreePlanted follows a six pillar formula for why trees are so important: Air, Water, Biodiversity, Social, Health and Climate.  In 2020, the organization planted 15 million trees, up from 4 million in 2019.
